Wilkinsons, a chain of hardware stores in the U.K., has the domain wilko.co.uk. Not surprisingly I get a lot of email that is intended for them. Today I received the following (quoted verbatim):
dear sir
i went to store on 4th sep to ask for application, but told its over. i
showed them the ad of evening mali that its till 1oth. then they gave me
form. then asked can v keep ad?also there is a banner above the store
V R OPEN SUNDAYS
but its close?
so, wat kind of professional & customer planning is this?
i have applied and look forward to join.
thanks
fawad
While computer literacy (or indeed literacy in the English language) may not be a pre-requisite for a position as a shelf-stacker or whatever this person is applying for, I think it is generally considered a bad idea to accuse your prospective employer of being unprofessional.
