A British MP has proposed a solution to the problem of SPAM. It consists of two simple steps:
- Everyone changes their domain to include their postcode or a PIN number – the details of which are held in trust
- Spammers agree not to forge their email addresses
It seems to me that if we just ask the spammers nicely not to forge their email addresses, then we can probably skip step one.
At first I thought that this was a joke, but apparently this is an official web site, and this is a serious suggestion.
