The Sold Sign

They do things a bit more slowly in the Blue Mountains.

We exchanged contracts on our land before Christmas, but by mid January the sold sticker still hadn’t been put up.

The property is a 15-20 minute drive from the Real Estate office and the land is at the end of a 2km road, so it doesn’t exactly get a lot of passing traffic, so putting up the sticker obviously wasn’t a priority.

Still, we wanted to see it up there.
Finally my mother in-law dropped into the office and asked for a sticker to put on the sign, explaining that we wanted to take a photograph. The receptionist was most apologetic and said that she would get someone to look after it.

The next day I passed by the block and lo and behold:

You can also see part of our front gate and the 50m driveway that leads down to the point where the land fans out to about 100m wide.

  1. Hi Paul, we are looking at building a modified Castlereagh. Would love to know your thoughts on the design and any advice you may have for us. Many thanks, Rachael
